The route crosses the Dochula to Punakha Dzong at the meeting of the Male and Female rivers, then continues to Trongsa Dzong and the Chendebji Chorten, an 18th-century stupa modelled on Kathmandu's Swayambhunath, before returning for the hike to Taktsang.
