Tamang Heritage Trail Trek

A community-based trek through the Tamang villages of Rasuwa district near the Tibetan border, west of the Langtang valley. The trail links Gatlang, with its stone houses and weaving traditions, the hot springs at Tatopani, the viewpoint of Nagthali (about 3165 m) with views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal and the peaks of Tibet, and the villages of Thuman and Briddim. Accommodation is in simple lodges and village homestays, giving a close look at Tamang culture, dress, music and Buddhist practices. The trek can be combined with the Langtang Valley trek.
