Overview
A gentle tour of South Sikkim's great Buddhist and Hindu landmarks. At Ravangla, the Buddha Park (Tathagata Tsal) holds a 130-foot statue of the Buddha set against the mountains, close to the Ralang Monastery, famous for its annual Pang Lhabsol and Kagyed dances. In Namchi you visit Samdruptse, with its giant statue of Guru Padmasambhava facing Kanchenjunga, and the Char Dham pilgrimage complex at Solophok with its tall statue of Shiva. Tea lovers can stop at the Temi Tea Garden, Sikkim's only tea estate.
