Overview
A complete tour of Sikkim's four districts in ten days. From Gangtok you visit Tsomgo Lake and Rumtek, then drive north to Lachung and the Yumthang Valley. Back in Gangtok the route turns south to Ravangla's Buddha Park and Namchi's Samdruptse and Char Dham, and west to Pelling for sunrise over Kanchenjunga, Pemayangtse, Rabdentse and the skywalk. The final stretch reaches Khecheopalri Lake and Yuksom, the first capital of Sikkim. Foreign nationals need a Sikkim Restricted Area Permit (Inner Line Permit), issued online, at the Rangpo or Melli checkposts or on arrival, through the operator. Protected areas such as Tsomgo Lake and North Sikkim need an additional Protected Area Permit; foreigners must travel in a group of at least two with a Sikkim Tourism registered agent. Nathula Pass, Gurudongmar Lake and Zuluk are closed to foreign nationals.
