Overview
A short overnight trek above Tiger's Nest, ideal for travelers with limited time. From the Sang Choekor Buddhist college above Paro, the trail climbs through blue pine and rhododendron forest to the alpine meadow of Bumdra (about 3900 m), the 'cave of a thousand prayers', with views of Jomolhari and the Paro valley. After a night in camp beside the Bumdra temple, the route descends past cliff-side hermitages and temples to arrive at Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest, from above before walking down to the valley floor. The tour includes Paro and Thimphu sightseeing. Bhutan charges a Sustainable Development Fee of US$100 per person per night (rate confirmed through 31 August 2027), and all visitors travel with a licensed guide.
