Overview
Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking is one of the most popular and relatively easy treks in Nepal, passing through the beautiful ethnic villages of the Annapurna region. The trail winds through rhododendron forests to Poon Hill (3210 m), a photographer's paradise with a sweeping sunrise panorama of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and more. Along the way you walk on stone-paved trails past terraced fields, waterfalls and river crossings, and stay in the welcoming Gurung and Magar villages of Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, Tadapani and Ghandruk. A short, rewarding trek ideal for first-time trekkers and families.
