Darjeeling Tea Garden Tour

A slow journey through the gardens that produce Darjeeling tea, the Champagne of teas. Starting in Kurseong, the Land of White Orchids, you visit historic estates such as Makaibari, walk through the bushes with the pluckers and watch withering, rolling and drying in the factory before tasting first and second flush teas. In Darjeeling you visit the Happy Valley Tea Estate, ride the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway between Ghoom and Darjeeling, and see sunrise over Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill. The best months for plucking are March to November.
